Joy

Hi! My name is Sofi. I am a 3 year old Female White/Silver Schnauzer. I was brought to the HHS to find a new home. I am looking for a home with the active people who like to walk and play. I only stop moving to sleep. If you have a place for me in your life, come check me out my tag number is 21.

Ladies and gentlemen meet Racoon. She is a wonderful 10 week old Longhaired Grey Tabby Kitten.  She loves to cuddle. If you have a lap, she is your girl. She is playful and VERY VERY SWEET! She is looking for her first ever home.

Hi, I am Joy. I think my name say so much about me. I will bring joy to any home I live in. I am a 2 year old Female playful, Yorkshire Terrier. I will need a few reminders about living in a home when I move in because I am partially housetrained. I will need help with the other part. I also like children, another plus! My tag number is 14.

The Houston Humane Society (HHS) is a non-profit animal shelter dedicated to eliminating cruelty, abuse, and the overpopulation of animals. We receive no federal, state, or local funding and rely solely on donations and special events. HHS is committed to creating the awareness of animal rights throughout the Houston community by providing numerous animal welfare programs for Houston area residents and their pets, including pet adoptions, humane education, R.A.I.D.E.R. cruelty investigations, and Houston's only $30 spay and neuter clinic.

With your help we can reduce animal suffering throughout the Houston area.  Adoption, volunteering, education, participating in our special events, or making a donation to help support our programs, are all ways you can help HHS make a difference in lives of abused, homeless, and neglected animals.

On our website you will find information on all of our wonderful programs, tips, and other resources to help you and your pet live a long and healthy life together!

Houston Humane Society has earned Charity Navigator's fourth consecutive 4-star rating for its ability to efficiently manage and grow its finances.  Only 4% of the charities have received at least 4 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that HHS outperforms most charities in America in its efforts to operate in the most fiscally responsible way possible.  This "exceptional" designation from Charity Navigator differentiates HHS from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.
