Debbie Ortiz, Development Director
Debbie Ortiz joined the HHS team as Director of Development in February, 2024. Prior to this, she served for nearly seven years at AAMA, most recently as Chief Development Officer and Interim President and CEO,
Debbie has had a rich career in non-profit leadership, including seven years at San Jacinto Girl Scout Council and 13 years with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Debbie also served as a consultant with CCS Fundraising, where she led $13-18 M capital campaigns. Besides fund development, she enjoys major gift work, event management, board development, crisis communications, strategic thinking, and team supervision. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University in College Station and is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership.
Debbie is dedicated to growing the organization's resources and looks forward to making an impact at HHS. She has deep concern for keeping families and pets together, educating the public about the importance of animal welfare, and expanding programs to meet the pressing needs of the community, particularly economically disadvantaged individuals.
