Join us for the first-ever Outreach Day at the Houston Humane Society! Outreach Day is a time for the community to gather and support the Houston Humane Society by volunteering. Spring Showers will serve our shelter pets by giving them a well-deserved spa day.

By signing up to volunteer, you become a Pawper! (Paw+Helper)

Pawpers will work hour-long shifts rotating 1 dog through 4 stations. This process will be repeated their scheduled shift time is over. There will be two Pawpers with one dog at all times. At the end of the shift, the first 30 Pawpers will receive a spa day goodie bag with items for you and your pets at home!

 

     

 

• This event is dependent upon the number of dogs that are eligible to be washed. Dogs are chosen based on temperament. Therefore this event could end earlier than posted. You will be notified of this change when necessary. 
• Pawpers are expected to be comfortable with handling dogs. 
• Pawpers can expect to get a little dirty or wet during this event and should wear clothes that they don't mind getting dirty. 
• Pawpers should wear black t-shirts so that they are easily identified outside a normal potential adopter. Badges will be given also.
• Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
