18 Horses Seized

18 horses seized after abandoned by family. Together with the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office, Brazoria County Animal Control & livestock Deputy, Brazoria County Pct. 4 Constable's Office - Constable James Brawner and the Houston Humane Society assisted with seizing 18 horses.

 

The horses have been safely transported to the Houston Humane Society for medical care and housing. Our Veterinarians evaluated the horses and saw signs of significant dehydration, severe joint issues, and bone issues.

 

These poor animals have been neglected both emotionally and physically, lacking proper nutrition and veterinary care. No food or drinkable clean water were found on scene. They are now safe and out of harms way.
