Animal Cruelty Case - Mack

ccfmack2

On December 8, the Houston Humane Society's Animal Cruelty Investigation Team, in partnership with Harris County Constable's Office Precinct 5, seized a small dog that had been severely neglected for quite some time.
This is one of the most extreme cases we've seen. The dog's eyes were matted shut! During his medical evaluation, our vet team had to sedate him to shave all of the filthy hair. Unfortunately, during bloodwork they found out he is heartworm positive. He also needs socialization and lots of love.
We're calling him Mack for now in honor of Deputy Womack that saved him from suffering in such horrible conditions.
