Dog Rescued by Taskforce

Meet Markle, this poor pup estimated to be around 9 years old arrived at the Houston Humane Society after being violently body slammed to the concrete floor of her home by her owner.

The officers from Harris County Sheriff's Office,  Constable Ted Heap, Harris County Constable Precinct 5, and Harris County Pets partners of the Harris County Animal Cruelty Taskforce, arrived on the scene and found the poor animal lying on the floor terrified and in pain.

Thanks to the officers and partners from Harris County Animal Cruelty Taskforce for getting this sweet girl out of this horrifying situation and bringing them to Houston Humane Society for medical exams.

After being medically evaluated by HHS medical staff, our veterinarians noticed she suffers from arthritis in the hip, along with an ulcer that she has been living with for years causing her pain and discomfort in her eye.

Markle has been through a trauma but despite her past, she continues to be so friendly and trusting of those around her. She will go in for pets and adores her stuffed animals.
