HOARDING CASE: 40 cats rescued from hoarding situation

The 40 cats were rescued from a home on the West side of Houston. Harris County Animal Cruelty Taskforce partners describe the strong odor of ammonia in the home to be unbearable for anyone including the poor animals. Partners describe to get to the animals, they had to get through piles of feces, pests and debris in the home. The cats ages range from 3 months to 6 years old.

Thanks to Harris County Pets Animal Cruelty Investigators, Ted Heap, Harris County Constable Precinct 5, and Houston Humane ACU team all the cats have been transported to safety. The animals will be medically examined, fed and housed at the Houston Humane Society.
