Humanitarian Service Award

This morning, Sherry Ferguson and Monica Schmidt were presented with the Houston Police Department's Humanitarian Service Award for dedication and voluntary service to enhance the lives of citizens and create goodwill on behalf of the Houston Police Department.

The award is in recognition of the creation of Monty's Task Force, and Houston Humane Society is proud to partner with HPD's North Division DRT Unit, Crime Stoppers of Houston, The Harris County District Attorney's Office, Harris County Constable's Office Precinct 5, and Houston PetSet to better the lives of both horses and residents in and around the Acres Homes Area.
